WATCH: Joan Laporta sends message to Barcelona fans following loss asking for patience
The club president expressed disappointment but said he would fix the problems at the club
FC Barcelona’s president, Joan Laporta, has sent a message online asking for patience as he attempts to fix the club’s problems. This comes following a 3-0 loss in the UEFA Champions League at the hands of Bayern Munich.
“Hello Culers, I am as disappointed and upset as all of you are,” the message begins.
Laporta admits that the team’s current situation is not too surprising following the decline in the squad’s quality and the financial mess left behind by former president Josep Maria Bartomeu.
“I ask you for your patience, and that you continue supporting our team.
“I also ask for your trust in us, the people who are managing the club. We need your trust and time, and do not doubt that we will solve this situation,” he says.

“Thank you very much and visca el Barça,” the message ends.
Barcelona are following up a tumultuous off-season with a disappointing beginning to the 2021-22 season. Lionel Messi left in a shocking twist, and Barcelona also offloaded one of its most famous players, Antoine Griezmann.
