The forward has returned from an ankle problem

Barcelona-bound Vitor Roque is back in action after injury and back in the goals for Brazilian side Athletico Paranaense.

The teenager scored in a 1-1 draw with Cruzeiro on Thursday on just his second appearance after a fair bit of time on the sidelines with an ankle problem.

It’s not the prettiest goal he’ll ever score, but Vitor Roque made sure he was in the right place at the right time to bundle home from a free-kick.

The youngster, who will join Barcelona either in January or next summer, admitted afterwards he was delighted to be on the scoresheet once again.

“I am very happy to have scored again with this shirt, we came to look for victory, but it was not possible because they tied us in the last minutes,” he told Sportv. ”What we have to do is continue focusing on these two games that we still have to play.”

It’s still not entirely clear when Vitor Roque will arrive at Barcelona, with the rumor mill churning out new updates all the time. The latest reports seem to suggest that Gavi’s injury may allow Barca room to sign Vitor Roque in January.
