Mendes tells PSG to forget about Yamal
The teenager’s agent has made it clear he is not for transfer
Lamine Yamal is untouchable. That is the message the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has delivered to Paris Saint-Germain about the Barcelona teenage superstar.
That’s according to Diario AS, who report that Mendes is in Paris this week for a formal meeting with PSG to discuss the status of his current clients at the French club as well as other potential targets for Luis Enrique’s side.
Yamal has been heavily linked with PSG in recent weeks, with multiple reports claiming they are keen on replacing the departing Kylian Mbappé with the Barça teenager and would be willing to pay as much as €200 million for the 16-year-old.
But Mendes’ message was clear: Yamal is untouchable at the Catalan capital and steps have already been taken to make sure he stays a Blaugrana for a very long time. Lamine will turn 18 in the summer of 2025 and will finally be able to sign an official first team contract, which has already been agreed between all parties and will keep the winger at Camp Nou for at least the next half-decade.
PSG will never not try to sign Barça players, but it seems pretty clear they definitely cannot sign Lamine Yamal. Maybe one day they’ll understand.
