Felix linked with shock return to Chelsea after Barca loan
The forward’s future remains unclear
Joao Felix could be heading back to the Premier League for a second spell with Chelsea after his loan deal with Barcelona expired this summer.
The Portugal international had been hoping to stay at Barcelona for another season but that’s looking increasingly unlikely as the start of the new campaign approaches.
Fabrizio Romano is now reporting that Felix could be heading to Stamford Bridge after the Blues saw a move for Samu Omorodion collapse.
Agent Jorge Mendes is now talking to Chelsea about bringing in Felix instead, with Atletico still hoping to sign Conor Gallagher from the Blues and Julian Alvarez from Manchester City.
Felix is said to have already said yes to a return to the Premier League side under new manager Enzo Maresca.

The Portugal international has already turned down a move to Aston Villa this summer in the hope of continuing with Barcelona. However, Barca have since signed Dani Olmo and haven’t given up hope yet of landing Nico Williams too.
Meanwhile, Atletico remain keen to shift Felix before the transfer window closes. He has returned to pre-season training with Diego Simeone’s side and scored in a 2-0 win over Juventus last time out.
