Barca sign Wojciech Szczesny for rest of season
He’s here!
Barcelona have confirmed that Wojciech Szczesny has signed for the club for the rest of the season following Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s injury.
Szczesny was spotted at Montjuic on Tuesday to watch the team’s Champions League clash with Young Boys and has now put pen to paper on a contract.

“FC Barcelona and Wojciech Szczęsny have reached an agreement for the goalkeeper to join the Club until 30 June 2025,” read a club statement.
Szczesny will now compete with Inaki Pena for a starting spot, with Ter Stegen not expected back potentially for the rest of the season.
The Poland star had announced his retirement in the summer but has been tempted to play again by a unique challenge at Barcelona after Ter Stegen’s devastating injury.
The move sees Szczęsny link up again with international team-mate Robert Lewandowski and enjoy a new challenge in the Spanish top flight.
