Casado one of four Barca players named in Spain squad
The midfielder has been called-up
Spain boss Luis de la Fuente has handed Barcelona youngster Marc Casado a first call-up to the senior squad for November Nations League fixtures against Denmark and Switzerland.
Casado is one of four Barcelona players in the squad. He joins Pedri, Dani Olmo and Lamine Yamal on the list. De la Fuente has thankfully opted not to call up again fit-again Gavi despite speculation he was considering including him in the squad.
Pau Cubarsi is also left out, after sustaining a nasty facial injury in the Champions League, while Alejandro Balde and Inigo Martinez have also been overlooked, despite being part of Barca’s great start to the season.
The decision to include Casado is a reward for the youngster who has starred for Barcelona this season since coming into the starting XI under Hansi Flick.
