He’s on the radar

Barcelona reportedly asked about the possibility of signing Real Mallorca’s teenager striker Marc Domenech during talks for Pablo Torre.

The Barcelona midfielder is expected to sign for Mallorca shortly after growing frustrated with his lack of opportunities at Camp Nou.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona made their interest in Domenech known during negotiations after having monitoring the youngster for a while.

The report says Barca like “his power, his ability to move, his technical ability, and his ball control” and could well go for him in the future.

Domenech is still just 18 and has a buyout clause set at €4 million. He is represented by Pini Zahavi, who is also the agent of Hansi Flick and Robert Lewandowski, which could potentially aid a future move to Barcelona.

Deco has said Barca won’t look for a striker this summer but they will be in the market for a new No. 9 soon, with Robert Lewandowski into the final 12 months of his current deal.
