Rumors: Rakitic, Rabiot, Busquets, Alcacer and Rafinha latest
The window is open until the end of August
PSG make huge offer for Rakitic
Today’s rumors start with Sport who reckon that PSG are willing to go all out for Ivan Rakitic after realising they have no chance of signing Sergio Busquets.
Now, while Barcelona don’t want to sell, and Rakitic doesn’t want to leave, there is still a fear he could be tempted by a mega-offer from the French side.
Rakitic’s release clause is €125 million which in today’s market does not put him out of reach. According to the report, the next few days will be decisive.
Barcelona to make one last push for Rabiot
So while PSG are fluttering their eyelids at Rakitic, Barcelona are going to make one last push for Adrien Rabiot, so say Mundo Deportivo.
Despite all Barcelona’s incomings this summer Rabiot apparently remains their top target. They are willing to spend €50 million bringing him in.
Rabiot is interested in a move to the Camp Nou either now or when his contract expires in 2019, but PSG may have to sell players before the window closes for FFP reasons.
Busquets agrees new deal
Meanwhile, Marca bring good news as they report that Sergio Busquets has agreed a new deal with Barcelona.
There are few details other than the midfielder has been given a big pay rise that makes him one of the club’s top earners.
His contract hasn’t been extended either as it still runs until 2021. Barcelona do have the option to extend it to 2023 though.
Alcacer prefers Betis to Dortmund
Yesterday we brought you news that Borussia Dortmund were interested in Paco Alcacer, but it seems the striker would rather a move to Real Betis.
Mundo Deportivo reckon that Alcacer wants to play for Quique Setién’s side, and he is open to a loan move away from the Camp Nou.
Problem with Rafinha’s Betis move
And finally today we end with a report that Rafinha’s potential move to Betis might have hit a small problem.
Despite seeing him enjoy a fine pre-season, Barcelona are keen to sell the Brazilian, while Betis would prefer a loan.
Mundo Deportivo reckon Rafinha knows he will not get the minutes he wants under Ernesto Valverde this season, but it remains to be seen if he can secure a move away.
