Lenglet wants to score his first Barca goal against Madrid
The defender came close against Inter Milan
Clement Lenglet says he is hoping to score his first Barcelona goal against Real Madrid in El Clasico on Sunday,
The French defender put in a strong performance against Inter Milan on Wednesday, as Barcelona kept their first clean sheet since the 4-0 win over PSV Eindhoven.
Speaking after the match Lenglet admitted he could have opened his account against Inter but added “today could not be, hopefully Sunday” as he looked ahead to the clash with los Blancos.
He also spoke about the win over Inter, which was obtained through goals from Rafinha and Jordi Alba.
“We are very happy for today’s game, but Sunday’s game will be totally different from this one,”
“We played a good game all together and when we play like that, it is much harder for the opponent to hurt us. It has been a very good match both in defense and in attack.
”We prefer to play with Messi than without him, but in these three weeks we have to try to make his absence as noticeable as possible.”

Barcelona coped well without the injured Lionel Messi who will again be absent against Real Madrid. Rafinha came in for the captain and scored, but it remains to be seen if he’ll keep his place against Julen Lopetegui’s side.
