Barcelona schedule meeting over Álvaro Morata loan, only one other option being considered - report

The other striker is being termed a “secret” option in the press

FC Barcelona have scheduled a meeting to decide whether to loan Álvaro Morata in from Chelsea, as the team’s striker search has been narrowed down to only him and one other option, according to reports.

According to Cadena COPE, this meeting between the board and the technical secretary will be key to deciding whether to activate the Morata option, which will cost in total 11 million euro.

COPE says that there is another “secret” option for a striker, but it is not Fernando Llorente (Tottenham Hotspur) or Cristhian Stuani (Girona).

Gerard Romero of RAC1 has echoed similar news - the options are Morata or a “secret” transfer. We are told this mysterious option is not Olivier Giroud (Chelsea), Lucas Pérez (West Ham), Álvaro Negredo (Al-Nasr Dubai), Maxi Gómez (Celta - although he could be a summer signing), Luciano Vietto (Fulham), or Llorente or Stuani.
