Messi talks about his favourite goals after hitting 400
He says he couldn’t have done it without his team-mates
Lionel Messi has been talking about his favourite Barcelona goals after netting his 400th La Liga strike against Eibar on Sunday.
The Barca captain spoke to Mundo Deportivo and was in typically humble mood, saying his achievement would have been “impossible” without his team-mates.
He mentioned his first ever goal, scored when he was just 17, and also how he enjoys scoring against Barca’s biggest rivals.
“The first against Albacete from the pass of Ronnie [Ronaldinho], I will never forget,” he said
“The goals of the Clasicos are always special and against hard opponents that are usually Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Sevilla.
“Also those that I have had the luck to score in front of our fans. In Camp Nou they are always nice.
”In the end, the most important goals are not the most spectacular, but those that serve us as a team to win.”

Manager Ernesto Valverde said after the Eibar win he “had the feeling” Messi could go on to score 500 goals before he hangs up his boots.
Messi will get the chance to add to his La Liga tally on Sunday when Leganes visit the Camp Nou. He scored a hat-trick against them back in December in a 5-0 win.
