Eibar to buy Cucurella, Barcelona to buy him back - report
And maybe sell him right after
Marc Cucurella might be sold three times in one transfer window, as crazy as that sounds. While he plays on loan to Eibar, he’s still a Barcelona player. Eibar have a buy option, which they are expected to use, but then Barça are expected to use their own buy option, according to a report from Diario SPORT.
And right after, Barcelona will reportedly be open to selling him again, this time at an even higher fee.
Cucurella’s good performances at Eibar have gotten him attention, but at Barcelona he’s unlikely to replace Jordi Alba in the starting XI. That’s why he’s reportedly looking at various offers to leave the Catalans.
Eibar will pay two million to buy him, and Barça will use four million to get him back, hoping to sell him at eight to ten million, according to the report.
Sevilla and Betis are already rumored to be in the market for him, and his entourage are said to want to close a deal soon so he knows which team he will be on come next season.
There exists the possibility that he remains at Barcelona, but it’s considered less likely.
