Three things we learned from Barca’s draw against Eibar
The champions finished their La Liga campaign with a point
Messi ends the season on top of (nearly) all the charts
Barcelona’s season may have fizzled out rather spectacularly, but Lionel Messi scored twice on Sunday to ensure another memorable campaign by the GOAT ended the right way.
The captain bagged two goals in less than two minutes to take his tally to the season to 50 in all competitions, 36 in La Liga and leave him top of just about all the charts you can think of.

Messi also claimed a record-equalling sixth Pichichi award, finishing a massive 15 goals ahead of Luis Suarez and Karim Benezma in second place.
He also looks set to net the Golden Shoe for a sixth time in his career, unless Kylian Mbappe can come up with something impressive in PSG’s final game of the season.
Not bad going for the fifth best player in the world.
Barcelona finish a record 19 points ahead of Real Madrid
Talking of statistics, Barcelona’s draw with Eibar coupled with Real Madrid’s final day defeat at home to Real Betis saw the champions finish 19 points ahead of Los Blancos.
It is a big gap and also a historic figure, as it’s the largest points difference there has been between the two sides in La Liga.
Barcelona finished the season 19 points clear of Real Madrid, the highest ever gap between the two.

Barcelona finished 17 points ahead of Real Madrid last season but have gone even better in this campaign as Zinedine Zidane’s side finish a very distant third.
Ernesto Valverde’s men also enjoyed some big wins over Madrid this season. The 5-1 win at the Camp Nou was a lot of fun, so too the 3-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu in the Copa del Rey.
While Barcelona’s European troubles have continued there is no doubting their domestic dominance which is likely to ensure a summer of big spending in the Spanish capital.
Valverde has selection problems ahead of the Copa del Rey final
Barcelona now head towards their final game of the season against Valencia but have problems to fix ahead of the Copa del Rey final.
The injuries are piling up for Valverde who admitted after the game Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho are doubts and could join Luis Suarez on the sidelines.
Meanwhile, Nelson Semedo spent the night in hospital after picking up a head injury, while goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen threw in a really shaky display on Sunday.

Malcom was handed another start in attack but did not really impress, while Sergi Roberto hardly put in a convincing case to start in a more advanced role against Valencia.
Meanwhile, Valencia signed off with a 2-0 win over Real Valladolid that clinched fourth spot and qualification for next season’s Champions League.
Los Che will head into the match on a high and will provide Barcelona with a tough test as they aim to finish the campaign with another double.
