Dembele returns to Barca training a week early - reports

The Frenchman seems keen to get going

Ousmane Dembele seems keen to make up for lost time at Barcelona and has reportedly returned to training a week early.

The Frenchman missed the end of last season with a hamstring injury as his campaign fizzled out after a really strong start but is already preparing for the new campaign.

According to Santi Ovalle at Cadena Ser, Dembele arrived at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper on Monday and worked out with a coach.

Dembele’s injury problems mean he also missed out on France duty over the summer, and so he has had a pretty lengthy rest since his last appearance in May.

The report reckons the youngster is aware that next season is a big one for him after two injury-interrupted campaigns and is keen to show the club his commitment to the cause.

This summer has once again seen speculation concerning Dembele’s future at the club, but president Josep Maria Bartomeu said at a press conference last week that he considers the Frenchman to be better than Neymar and wants to him to stay.
