Lautaro Martinez’s agent confirms Barcelona interest

The Inter Milan star is reportedly wanted at the Camp Nou

Lautaro Martinez’s agent, Alberto Yaque, came out in an interview this week and discussed his client’s rumored interest in Barcelona. Or, should we say, he said that indeed Barcelona’s interest in him is true.

“Talk of Barcelona’s interest is true. No one’s called us, but we know that they’ve been looking at him strongly. It’s true that Barcelona like him.”

Martinez signed for Inter Milan last summer, but given a great summer with Argentina, Martinez has been linked with Barcelona. Part of this could be posturing from Yaque, who wouldn’t want their client linked with Barcelona.

However, Martinez is a young attacking prospect that has flourished recently. Given Barcelona’s signing of Antoine Griezmann, they won’t be looking to Martinez for short term help as much as in the long term.
