Messi’s restaurant in Argentina offering free food and coat for homeless during cold wave

The Bar VIP Rosario in his hometown says they offered coffee, soft drinks, and wine as well

Lionel Messi’s restaurant in his hometown of Rosario, Argentina is offering free food and a coat for people in need during a cold wave that has been suspected of causing the deaths of at least two people.

The Bar VIP Rosario says it is trying to help those in need, particularly the homeless, with the campaign, which started on Friday.

Ariel Almada, the manager of the restaurant, has pledged to continue the campaign every night for the next 15 days.

In an interview with Marca Claro Argentina, Almada said that in addition to food and coats, “we also gave coffee, soft drinks, and to some, a glass of wine. A lot of great people came by, very respectful.”

The Barcelona star, alongside his Argentina teammates Ángel Di María, Giovani Lo Celso, and Franco Armani, landed in Rosario’s airport on Saturday after claiming third place in the Copa América.
