Neymar fails to turn up to PSG pre-season training

The club have confirmed the Brazilian is AWOL

Paris Saint-Germain confirmed on Monday that Neymar has failed to join up with the club for pre-season training as speculation over a return to Barcelona continues.

The Brazilian had been expected to return to the Ligue 1 champions to begin preparations for the new season but the club have confirmed he was absent without permission.

“Paris Saint-Germain notes that the player Neymar Jr did not show up at the agreed time and place, without having been authorized by the Club in advance.

“Paris Saint-Germain deplores this situation and will take the appropriate measures resulting from it.”

Reports in Spain on Monday had claimed that Neymar is getting worried a move back to Spain is not happening quickly enough for his liking and has asked Barcelona to speed the process up.
