The latest Barça transfer rumors are here.

Diego Palacios snubs Barça, moving to MLS

This story has been under the radar amid all the bigger rumors, but Barça looked set to sign Ecuadorian left-back Diego Palacios, who plays for Willem II in Eredivisie and was one of the best players in the U-20 World Cup, in which Ecuador finished third. Palacios was going to join Barça B for a season on a deal very similar to Moussa Wagué, but over the last 48 hours things have changed.

Junior Firpo’s signing pretty much ended Palacios’ hopes of first team promotion ahead of the 2020/21 season, and with a pretty good offer from Los Angeles FC on the table Palacios has decided to play regular first team football in Major League Soccer, according to ESPN. The full-back will sign a four-year deal on Monday.

Bayern, Juve looking at Coutinho

The Premier League transfer window is officially shut and Philippe Coutinho did not move to Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur, so if Barça really want him to go the options are severely limited. But according to Diario SPORT, two European giants are monitoring Coutinho’s situation: Bayern Munich and Juventus.

Bayern are unlikely to sign Leroy Sané from Manchester City after the winger suffered an ACL injury, and there is a clear lack of attacking depth in the squad at the moment. Juve already have a huge squad but they might be missing an attacking player after selling Moise Kean to Everton, and they’re trying like crazy to sell Paulo Dybala.

Both teams love the chance to sign Coutinho on loan with an option to buy, something Italian clubs especially like to do, but they want to see if the Brazilian will be involved in a deal with Paris Saint-Germain for Neymar. If not, they might go for it.

Speaking of PSG’s superstar...

Barça still not giving up on Neymar

There are conflicting reports about Real Madrid making a giant offer to PSG for Neymar that involved Luka Modric, but whether or not they’ve made it Barça are confident that the player has no intention of joining Los Blancos and would only leave Paris for a return to Camp Nou.

With the Premier League window closed and Coutinho still on the Barça squad, the club will try as hard as they possibly can to convince PSG to take him and money to make the deal happen, according to Diario SPORT. Barça are also willing to include Ivan Rakitic in the deal, but there are no indications that PSG like the Croatian, or Coutinho for that matter.

PSG apparently set a deadline for a Neymar decision a week ago that expires this Saturday, so the end of the soap opera may be upon us.
