Barcelona are reportedly in negotiations with Premier League side Chelsea over a loan deal for Philippe Coutinho that will include a purchase option.

Sport report the Brazilian will not stay at Bayern Munich and there is “optimism” a deal can be done with the Blues before the end of June.

One sticking point appears to be the purchase option. Barca want it to be mandatory, but it seems that Chelsea are not quite so keen.

Indeed Barca are willing to have the purchase option as low as €65m, while Chelsea are happy for it to be higher as long as it’s optional.

Chelsea are said to have been keen on Coutinho for a while but were unable to land him previously due to their transfer ban.

Other reports have suggested the Brazilian is keen to return to the Premier League where he enjoyed such success with Liverpool.
