Barcelona struggling to sell players before June deadline - report
Barça need to raise €70 million in sales before the end of the season
Barcelona are struggling to find buyers for their players and need to act quickly to raise around €70 million in sales before the end of June, according to a report from ESPN.
The Blaugrana projected a record revenue of over €1 billion for the 2019-20 season, which included €124 million in player sales. But without any deals made for Arturo Vidal, Ivan Rakitic, Philippe Coutinho and others, Barça are on the clock to somehow find teams interested in paying enough money for them to reach their goal.
Samuel Umtiti, Arthur and Junior Firpo are also on the list of players Barça would be willing to sell, but there are no concrete offers for any of those players and most of them have already stated publicly that they would like to stay at Camp Nou for next season.
Barça’s financial situation is complicated and could quickly become alarming if they don’t find ways to raise funds.
