Coutinho is ‘way out’ out of Leicester’s price range - Rodgers
The Foxes boss has played down rumors of a move
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has responded to rumors the Foxes are interested in Philippe Coutinho and says the Brazilian is “way out” of his club’s price range.
Coutinho has been tipped to leave Barcelona this summer, either on loan again or in a permanent deal, and Leicester are one of several clubs rumored to be interested.
Rodgers signed Coutinho from Inter Milan in 2013 when he was Liverpool manager but does not sound like he’s expecting to work with the Brazilian again any time soon.
“I’ve seen lots of speculation around young Phil, I don’t think… Philippe’s a wonderful player, a brilliant talent, but he would be someone who is way out of our price bracket,” he said.

Recent speculation has suggested it’s possible Coutinho may actually end up staying at Barcelona next season and could be given a second chance by Quique Setien.
Indeed Mundo Deportivo have reported this week Barcelona will only sell this summer if they receive an offer of €100m for the 27-year-old.
