Setien insists he doesn’t know of an Arthur and Pjanic deal

There have been rumors about the duo

Barcelona coach Quique Setien made it clear this week that he was unaware of any deal involving Barcelona and Juventus. Specifically, any deal between the two clubs involving Arthur and a swap deal for Juve midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

“I speak with the directors at the club really often and no one has told me anything in that respect.”

“Among other things, Arthur has already said twice he wants to stay at Barça and I understand him perfectly. In his place, I would think the same. I would not leave a team like this, nor the possibility of playing alongside the best player in the world.”

When asked about Pjanic, Quique said “He’s another excellent player”, and then quickly transitioned to general comments about the transfer market.
