Barcelona impressed by Guimarães

Today’s rumors start with news that Barcelona have apparently been quite taken by Lyon midfielder Bruno Guimarães who is now well and truly on their radar.

The Catalan giants were particularly impressed by his performance against Juventus in the Champions League, according to AS.

Barca have already been in touch with Lyon to see if they want to sell and are hopeful. The early finish of the Ligue 1 campaign means the club may have to offload their top stars.

Estupiñán emerges as Barca target

Barcelona are also said to be keeping tabs on Osasuna left-back Pervis Estupiñán who is currently on loan with Premier League side Watford.

Diario de Navarra report Quique Setien wants competition for Jordi Alba at left-back and could be willing to pay €10 million to land the 22-year-old.

Curiously the report reckons Barca could buy him and loan him straight out to Real Valladolid and also talks about how Estupiñán has a soft spot for Real Madrid.

Pjanic agrees four-year Barcelona deal

Over at Sport the word is that 30-year-old Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic has agreed a four-year deal with Barcelona.

The only problem is that Barcelona and Juventus haven’t quite come to an agreement over a deal. Juve have asked for some players, but Barca have only offered Ivan Rakitic.

Pjanic was valued at around €50m before the coronavirus pandemic, but his valuation has now dropped to €30m because of the financial impact the virus has had on football.

Barca want to swap players for Neymar

Sticking with Sport who are also reporting that Barcelona are now considering only offering players in exchange for Neymar.

The club are hoping PSG could fall for their cunning plan because they are getting a bit fed up of the whole Neymar saga and because he’s out of contract in 2022.

France internationals Ousmane Dembélé, Antoine Griezmann and Samuel Umtiti are all mentioned as players who might interest PSG.
