The club want a replacement for Nelson Semedo

Barcelona have reportedly had two bids rejected by Norwich City for 20-year-old full-back Max Aarons.

The club apparently wanted the youngster on loan with an option to buy in 2021 for €20 million, according to ESPN and David Ornstein at The Athletic.

Norwich, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, have rejected two offers from Barcelona, but the Catalan giants may keep on trying.

Barca are keen to sell Nelson Semedo this summer and are said to be close to a deal for the Portugal international but will need a replacement if he does go.

Aarons now appears to be a clear target for Ronald Koeman’s men along with Ajax’s Sergino Dest who is also reportedly wanted by Bayern Munich.

ESPN reckon Barca’s plan is to sell Semedo for over €30m and then bring in a young player to compete with Sergi Roberto for the right-back slot.
