The fee would be 29 million pounds, or around 35 million euros.
He joined Barcelona from Benfica in 2017, for a deal worth 30.5 million euros that increased by 5 million more for every 50 games he played.
He has been capped 13 times by Portugal and won the inaugural Nations League with them. He won La Liga twice, and Copa del Rey and the Spanish Supercup once each, with Barcelona. He never established himself as firmly first choice ahead of Sergi Roberto, however.
Sergiño Dest of Ajax has been mentioned as a possible replacement for him at the Camp Nou.
