The striker is in demand this summer

Mino Raiola and Alfie Haaland were both spotted at Barcelona airport on Thursday as they arrived in the city for talks with president Joan Laporta.

The agent and father of Erling Haaland flew in for a two-hour meeting with Laporta where the president made it clear he wants the Dortmund striker this summer, according to Sport.

Director of football Mateu Almenay was also at the meeting where Barca confirmed they will bid for Haaland, although “everything will depend on the final price” that Dortmund want for the 20-year-old.

Raiola and Haaland senior are said to be “open” to the prospect of moving to Barcelona, but of course, any decision will be the player’s. The report adds a final decision is expected in June with Haaland wanted by a host of Europe’s top clubs.

It’s certainly an interesting development but it’s still difficult to see how Barca can finance a deal for Haaland given the club’s debts. It’s already been widely reported that some big names may have to go first which means we should, once again, be set for another interesting summer.
