Ansu Fati is being tipped to make his long-awaited Barcelona comeback against Levante at the Camp Nou on Sunday 26th September.

The teenager has not played since suffering a knee injury in November 2020 but has been back in training for a while now and is closing in on a return.

Catalunya Radio and Mundo Deportivo are both reporting that Fati’s comeback date has already been decided and will come in just over a week’s time.

Fati isn’t expected to play in Barca’s next two games against Granada or Cadiz but may come off the bench when Levante visit at the end of next week.

The report adds that if he comes through that game successfully it’s possible he could even be in a position to start Barca’s next game which is away at Benfica in the Champions League.

Fati’s comeback should give Barca a real boost. It’s been a nightmare time for the youngster who has suffered a series of setbacks in his recovery and spent almost a year out of action.

The attacker’s return will also boost Ronald Koeman’s attacking options with Sergio Aguero, Ousmane Dembele, and Martin Braithwaite still on the injured list.
