Eric Garcia: I think we can do good things
Some positive vibes from the center-back
Eric Garcia admits defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League this week was tough to take but he’s still confident the team “can do good things” this season.
Barcelona have made an unbeaten start to the league season but were offered something of a reality check in the Champions League by the Bundesliga champions.
Garcia told Catalunya Radio that the players have been looking at how to improve in the aftermath of the game.
“Nobody here likes to lose and less so like we did the other day. We will do our best to win - we are a winning club and we are winners,” he said.
“We have a look in the cold light of day at the things we can improve and we will also have players back from injury. I think we can do good things.”
The center-back also talked up the importance of youngsters Alejandro Balde, Gavi, and Yusuf Demir who all come off the bench and featured against Bayern.
“It’s important for the young players to be made to feel important. Youngsters like Gavi, Balde and Yusuf are getting a chance and playing really well,” he added.
“They are earning their chances and it is important for the future of the club as they will be important players.”

Garcia was back in the starting XI against Bayern after missing the win against Getafe due to suspension following his red card in the 1-1 draw at San Mames.
