Gossip: Barca keen on RB Salzburg’s Karim Adeyemi
And so are Liverpool and Bayern Munich
The transfer window may have closed last week but the rumor mill keeps on churning with RB Salzburg forward Karim Adeyemi the latest player to be linked with a move to Barcelona.
According to Bild (via Sport), the Catalan giants are one of several clubs to take an interest in the youngster. Liverpool and Bayern Munich are also pretty keen on the 19-year-old too.
Adeyemi has bagged six goals in six games in the Austrian Bundesliga so far this season and also enjoyed a goal on his Germany debut against Armenia.
The report reckons Ronald Koeman actually wanted to sign him in the summer but may go back for him next year after missing out and landing Luuk de Jong instead.
Adeyemi is valued at around €20 million currently but that number could rise, particularly if he continues to rack up the goals this season.
It’s not clear yet what kind of financial shape Barcelona will be in next year and whether the club will be able to make any big investments in the squad
Yet that that doesn’t appear to worry the rumor mill too much. Adeyemi is the latest player to be linked with Barca, while there have already been whispers since the transfer window closed that Dani Olmo is wanted back at the Camp Nou.
