Ter Stegen offers fitness update after missing Barca vs Rayo
The goalkeeper is feeling optimistic
Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has sent out a positive message after missing the team’s clash with Rayo Vallecano in La Liga on Saturday.
The Germany international was replaced in the starting XI by Inaki Pena and there are fears Ter Stegen may not make the midweek Champions League clash against Porto either.
However, the stopper has now taken to social media with a message confirming he’s hoping to be back in action for Barcelona soon.
“I’m really disappointed that I wasn’t able to play the last two games for Germany. Yesterday I made the decision to not play against Rayo today. I’m coming back soon!!” he wrote on X.

Barcelona will also be hoping Ter Stegen isn’t out for long, particularly as they head into a key week with games against Porto and Atletico Madrid to come.
Xavi’s side are level on points with Porto at the top of their Champions League group, while Shakhtar are just three points behind and take on Antwerp in midweek.
