Eric García returns to training ahead of Valladolid clash
The defender is back after a foot injury
Barcelona finished off on Friday their preparations for the final La Liga match before the international break against Real Valladolid at home on Saturday, and there was a surprising addition to the practice.
Defender Eric García was seen amongst the group of players that took part in the training session, which also included youngsters Unai Hernández and Andrés Cuenca from Barça Atlètic.
Eric was ruled out of the match against Rayo Vallecano in midweek with plantar fasciitis on his foot and was not expected to be back before the international break, so his presence is definitely a boost for the Blaugrana considering their injury situation both at center-back and defensive midfield.
It remains to be seen whether Eric will be included in the matchday squad for the Valladolid clash or if he’ll be saved for what will be a busy run of games following the international window, but his quick return from what is usually a tricky injury is a welcome piece of good news for Hansi Flick.
