The teenager came on as a substitute on Saturday

Ilaix Moriba made his debut for Barcelona B on Saturday, coming on as a substitute for García Pimienta’s side in their 1-0 defeat to SD Ejea.

The 16-year-old is one of the club’s most highly-rated young talents and arrived after 66 minutes for the injured Ferrán Sarsanedas.

Moriba spoke after the game about making his debut and how he still has a lot to learn in Juvenil A under new boss Victor Valdes.

“I am very happy with the opportunity given to me by the coach. I’m not in a hurry, I know I have to learn a lot with Valdés and I will take advantage of the minutes given to me. Too bad we lost the goal because the feelings I had were good.”

The game looked to be heading for a draw until SD Ejea nicked all three points with a goal in the 92nd minute.
