Vidal starts legal action against Barca over unpaid bonuses
The midfielder has been linked with a January move
Arturo Vidal may just have taken a step towards the Barcelona exit door if the latest reports about the Chile international prove to be accurate.
ABC are reporting that Vidal has begun legal action against his club over unpaid bonuses he believes are due to him from last season.
The midfielder is said to have received only €1.7 million of the €4.1 million owed to him and is demanding the remaining €2.4 million be paid.
Barcelona are of a different opinion entirely and were reportedly surprised to be hit with the lawsuit that was filed by Vidal’s legal team on December 5.
The club believe he is not due the bonuses because he did not play enough games last season and there’s a suggestion he could be trying to force his way out of the club.
Inter Milan have been linked with a move for Vidal for some time now, and the midfielder spoke about his future before Christmas saying he was happy at the club but “we’ll see when I get back” from holiday.
