The youngsters look to have bright futures

Barcelona’s seach for new young talent has reportedly taken them to the Eredivisie where they have been keeping tabs on Donyell Malen, Myron Boadu and Calvin Stengs.

Mundo Deportivo report that Barca have been impressed by all three players and have watched them on several occasions.

Malen plays for PSV Eindhoven and has 11 goals and two assists in 14 league appearances this season. The 21-year-old has also netted three times in the Europa League.

Boadu and Stengs are both at AZ Alkmaar and are also attacking players. Boadu is a striker with 18 goals to his name this season for Arne Slot’s side in 2019-20.

The 19-year-old also made his Netherlands debut in November and scored in the 5-0 win over Estonia in qualifying for Euro 2020.

Boadu’s AZ team-mate Stengs also debuted for Ronald Koeman’s side in the same game, grabbing two assists to add to his burgeoning reputation.

AZ were enjoying a strong Eredivise season until the campaign was suspended. They are level on points with Ajax after 25 games played.

MD reckon that Koeman thinks the trio have what it takes to play for Barca, and the club see them as cheaper options ahead of the summer transfer window.
