Barcelona will not name stadium after Mike Tyson’s cannabis company
His business partner expressed interest
FC Barcelona will not negotiate with Mike Tyson’s cannabis company for the naming rights to the Camp Nou, according to local radio. The boxer’s business partner, Alki David, said it would be “a great idea” to name the ground Swissx Stadium, after his company, “and provide plant medicine products in the concessions.”
David, who is a Greek billionaire, spoke about being a fan of both Chelsea and Barcelona and about Spain’s record with marijuana legalization.
Barcelona had opened up the naming rights for a corporate sponsor for the first time, with all proceeds going to fight coronavirus and other charitable causes.
However, the latest report is the Catalans will not negotiate with this particular company.
