Borussia Dortmund have also shown an interest apparently

Chile manager Reinaldo Rueda has been talking about Arturo Vidal’s future and reckons there’s a chance he could leave Barcelona and move to Italy.

The 63-year-old was full of praise for the midfielder and said he understood there had also been interest from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund too.

Vidal has been heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan, possibly as part of a deal for Lautaro Martinez, and Rueda would not be surprised to see him leave the Spanish champions.

“I think he is very satisfied at Barcelona, the fans have welcomed him very well and I hope that wherever he goes he will be the protagonist.

“As far as I know there is a chance of going back to Italy, Dortmund was recently very very interested in him. But there is nothing concrete and you must have patience to reach a decision.”

Vidal has said himself he wants to feel like an important player, and he’s expected to be moved on in the summer along with Ivan Rakitic.

A number of Premier League clubs have also been linked with the 32-year-old, most recently Manchester United and Newcastle United.
