Manchester City has confirmed the death of Dolors Sala CarriĆ³, the mother of their coach, Pep Guardiola. The 82-year-old died due to a coronavirus infection.
Guardiola is also Barcelona’s most successful manager ever and a former captain of the club in his playing days. He had been in the news recently for making a donation worth a reported one million euro to fight the virus.
The news comes as the virus continues ravaging families across the world, although the problem in Spain is worse than almost any other country.
