Sarabia says it’s a ‘privilege’ to work with Messi

Quique Setien’s assistant has been talking about the captain

Eder Sarabia has been talking about life at the Camp Nou in an Instagram Live with Alex Corretja and has explained what a “privilege” it is to work with Lionel Messi.

Barcelona’s assistant coach says that he and Quique Setien “are delighted with them and I think they with us” and spoke about the club captain and his team-mates.

“Messi is perhaps the best athlete of all time, and the best footballer. It’s amazing, because of his knowledge of the game, because of his execution, it’s a privilege to work with him.

“To Leo you are not going to say the same thing to another. But we like the footballer who gives us his opinion.

“Until you’re inside the dressing room and know them then you don’t fully understand how they are,. There are a lot of things behind each of them.

”They’re very different and it’s important for a coach to know that to get the best out of them.”

Sarabia was also asked about the Clasico when he attracted headlines for his behaviour on the touchline and insisted there was “no problem and we have a great relationship with the players.”
