Florentino Perez wants him at Real Madrid too, apparently

Barcelona will have to shell out €164 million if they want to bring Neymar back to the Camp Nou this summer, according to Brazilian football agent Wagner Ribeiro.

The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a return to his former club, although Barca are also said to be keen on Lautaro Martinez.

Ribeiro, who worked with Neymar previously and was involved in the deal to take him from Santos to Barcelona, reckons he knows how much it would cost to land the Brazilian.

“It will cost you €164m to sign Neymar today. That price didn’t exist a year ago,” he said.

“Barcelona is top of the pile. His best friends are there but he’s also happy at PSG. A footballer must be professional.

“It’s important he’s in the right atmosphere because money isn’t an issue for him. He wants to be the best player in the world, despite still being quite young.”

Ribeiro also spoke about Real Madrid, claiming he met Florentino Perez in May 2019 who told him “he still dreamed about signing Neymar.”

This summer promises to be a very interesting one for Barcelona. They continue to be linked with dozens of players but have been hit financially hard by the coronavirus pandemic.
