Xavi donates €1 million to help in the fight against coronavirus

The Barcelona is helping out the health services

Xavi and wife Nuria Cunillera have donated €1 million to the Hospital Clinic in Barcelona to help in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

The Barcelona legend is the latest high-profile sportsperson to offer financial support to help health services in the current time of crisis.

“Nuria and I support the fight against coronavirus at the Hospital Clinic in Barcelon. Thanks to all the contributions that have been received, the hospital is acquiring equipment for professionals and patients.”

Lionel Messi has also made the same donation to the Hospital Clinic in Barcelona, and a hospital in Argentina, while former Barca boss Pep Guardiola has donated €1m to the Medical College of Barcelona and the Angel Soler Daniel Foundation.
