The Dutchman’s offered an update on his plans

Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman says he’s not expecting any new signings before the season of the new La Liga season.

The Catalan giants have been linked with a host of players ahead of their opening fixture of 2020-21 against Villarreal on September 26/27.

Yet Koeman is not expecting any new arrivals in the next couple of weeks and is preparing to start the new season with his current squad.

“We’re working towards the new season and I think we will go into it with the same group of players that we have now for pre-season,” he said.

The Dutch coach also spoke about the recent uncertainty over Lionel Messi’s Barcelona future and reckons everything is back to normal with the Barcelona captain.

“That all went over my head. That was a dispute between Messi and the club. I have spoken to Messi since then and we are back to normal and continue to work with each other.”

Koeman will watch his team in action for just the second time on Wednesday when they play another pre-season friendly against Girona.
