Miralem Pjanic was officially unveiled as a Barcelona player on Tuesday after completing his move from Juventus.

The midfielder has signed a four-year deal at the Camp Nou and has been handed the No. 8 shirt, taking over from Arthur.

Pjanic talked about how he’s looking forward to playing with captain Lionel Messi and how he could not envisage the Argentine playing for another club.

“He’s possibly the best footballer of all time. He’s an extra-terrestrial,” he said.

“I couldn’t see Messi with another shirt. For me, it was impossible and I thought everything would be sorted out in the end. My wish is to play with him.

“But I want to enjoy myself alongside everyone. We will have 25 players in the squad and everyone’s important. I believe in the spirit of a team and that will be important to achieve our objectives.”

Pjanic also confirmed that he would be able train with the team tomorrow and is hoping to make his debut for his new club on Saturday in the Joan Gamper Trophy.
