The teenager has offered his thoughts on the game

Barcelona teenager Pedri has been talking about his view of the game and admits he favors brain over brawn.

The 17-year-old was asked about recent quotes from Getafe fitness coach Javier Vidal who has said that “in two years, whoever is not very strong will not play in the top flight.”

Vidal added that he didn’t think skinny or technical players would feature much in the future, but Pedri is having absolutely none of it.

“I don’t see it like that,” he said. “In football it’s better to have a brain and think a second before the opponent to get ahead of what they will do. I prefer to have a brain to muscle.”

Pedri will be hoping he gets the chance to show Vidal exactly what he means at first hand on Saturday when Barcelona take on Getafe. The 17-year-old is yet to make his first start but has come off the bench in all three La Liga games so far.
