Seven Barca stars in Spain squad but no room for Balde or Gavi

It’s that time again!
Spain boss Luis de la Fuente has named his latest international squad for March fixtures against the Netherlands in the quarter-finals of the Nations League.
As usual, there is plenty of Barcelona interest in the squad with a host of players called up by La Roja.
The latest list sees Pau Cubarsi, Inigo Martinez, Marc Casado, Pedri, Dani Olmo, Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal all included by De La Fuente.
However, there’s no room for Alejando Balde - despite his excellent form - and Gavi has also been overlooked after returning from a long injury lay-off.
Here’s a look at the squad in full:
Goalkeepers: Unai Simón, David Raya and Álex Remiro
Defenders: Porro, Mingueza, Le Normand, Pau Cubarsí, Iñigo Martínez, Asencio, Marc Cucurella and Grimaldo.
Midfielders: Martin Zubimendi, Marc Casado, Fabian Ruiz, Mikel Merino, Alex Baena and Pedri.
Forwards: Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams, Ferran Torres, Yeremy, Dani Olmo, Ayoze, Morata, Bryan Zaragoza, Samu Omorodion and Mikel Oyarzabal.
Elsewhere, Pablo Torre, Fermin Lopez and Gerard Martin are included in the Under-21 squad for for friendlies against the Czech Republic and Germany.
Spain’s first game takes place on March 20 at the Feyenoord Stadium in Rotterdam, with the return three days later at Valencia’s Mestalla.
If Spain do progress they go through to a semi-final tie against Croatia or France.
