Suarez understands Griezmann’s Barca struggles
The striker says “it’s not easy” to adjust to life at Barca
Luis Suarez has offered some insight into Antoine Griezmann’s start to life at Barcelona and says it takes time for players to adapt to playing for the Catalan giants.
The France international has made a slow start after joining from Atletico Madrid in the summer for €120 million, but Suarez says he needs time to adapt.
“Obviously, it’s not easy for any player to start here in Barcelona,” he said.
“You need time in order to adapt. It takes time and matches and you are feeling better and feeling that your teammates are supporting you.
“But it is necessary to understand that he is not playing in his previous position and he is the one who is making a big effort to adapt to what Valverde is asking for. I did it too, as did Philippe, Neymar or Ousmane.
“Every player who arrives in Barcelona has a difficult first few months and first matches … people are looking at you with detail because of what Barcelona means, but he is quiet and confident because he has our support to play his best football.”

Griezmann was dropped to the bench for Wednesday’s clash with Borussia Dortmund but came on after Dembele picked up an injury and bagged his fifth goal for his new club in a 3-1 win.
Dembele has now been ruled out for 10 months which means Griezmann will get plenty more chances to make an impact at Barca, starting on Sunday against former club Atletico Madrid.
