Barcelona face masks go on sale

Barcelona have launched their own protective masks with three designs available and more planned if they prove popular.

The club have unveiled the new “resuable” products which they say “protection against the transmission of Covid-19” and are “guaranteed to up to 40 washes.”

The masks are available in three sizes and cost 18 euros. They are available to buy from official shops in the city and online from Tuesday.

“With the use of masks to stop the spread of Covid-19 now obligatory in many countries, the club has wished to respond to the needs of fans and members who wish to show their identification with Barça via an official product of quality and that offers a high level of protection.”

Lockdown restrictions are being eased in Spain but face masks are mandatory on public transport. The government has also tightened restrictions by making masks compulsory if it’s not possible to use social distancing.
