The visiting fans did their job

Lamine Yamal scored his first Clasico goal on Saturday in Barcelona’s 4-0 win over Real Madrid and loved every moment at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 17-year-old spoke out after the game and admitted he took particular delight in hearing the visiting fans out sing the hosts in the Spanish capital.

‘[It is] a lot of fun when you can hear your fans more than those of the opposition in its stadium. It’s incredible, so we’re very happy.” he told reporters.

Yamal also spoke about how happy he was to see Barca keep going for goals and feels the win now proves Hansi Flick’s side are a force to be reckoned with this season.

“We had two and we wanted the third, and then the fourth. But it’s only three points and we have to keep going. We’ll enjoy a few days of celebration and then, think about Espanyol.

“When we were winning in the league, people said those were mid-table teams and that when the important moments came, you would see what would happen,” Yamal he added.

“But Madrid are one of the best teams in the world, and we’ve beaten them 4-0. We have shown, both with Bayern and with Madrid, that we are ready for anything.”

The Barca team have been granted a few days off after a very hectic week and will then return to training to prepare for a clash with Espanol.
