Rumors: Pjanic, Dembele, Vidal and Coutinho latest
A look at the latest gossip
Barcelona still chasing Pjanic
Today’s rumors start with news that Barcelona are still chasing Miralem Pjanic even though Arthur has made it crystal clear once again he’s not interested in being part of the deal.
Mundo Deportivo reckon Juventus remain equally committed to getting him off the wage bill and so it’s possible a deal can still be done.
Barca are apparently looking at different formulas and doing lots of tricky sums to find a way of bringing the midfielder to the Camp Nou.
Dembele could go for €50m
Sticking with Mundo Deportivo who are also reporting Barcelona would sell Ousmane Dembele if any club turned up with an offer of €50m for the Frenchman.
Apparently Quique Setien is in no rush to get rid of the forward, but if a good offer arrived and Dembele fancied it they’d be willing to wave goodbye.
Vidal to turn down Conte again
Over at AS the talk is all about Arturo Vidal and how he’s already turned down Antonio Conte a few times in his career.
The midfielder is wanted by the Inter Milan boss but is keen to stay at Barcelona and his big ambition is to lift the Champions League.
He also turned down Conte when the Italian was Chelsea boss. The Blues went after the Chilean several times but were told ‘no’ because they weren’t playing in Europe’s top comp.
Newcastle & Arsenal eye Coutinho
Meanwhile, Philippe Coutinho’s future continues to make headlines with Premier League clubs Newcastle and Arsenal both reportedly keen.
Mundo Deportivo reckon Newcastle have already been in touch with the Brazilian and are hopeful they can sign him if their takeover goes ahead.
French outlet Le10Sport also have an update and reckon Arsenal have been tracking Coutinho for several months and are trying to find a way to make a move happen.
